DDA & Company advises Graitec in a new external growth transaction, with the acquisition of the BIM provider Cadpoint (UK)
Graitec, an international BIM, Fabrication, and Design software developer for AEC, and Autodesk® Platinum Partner across Europe and Gold across Canada, USA and Russia, is delighted to announce the acquisition of Cadpoint.
Operating in nearly 50 offices across 13 countries, and backed by Apax Partners since early 2020, Graitec pursues its external growth strategy by strengthening its customer portfolio with the acquisition of Cadpoint, a U.K based company that provides Autodesk solutions for the AEC Industry to a broad range of clients located across the United Kingdom.
The acquisiton of Cadpoint is the 17th transaction advised by DDA & Company on behalf of Graitec, and the 1st external growth transaction since Apax Partners entered into its capital in early 2020.
This acquisition will further enhance the Graitec position in one of its key markets in Europe, UK, where it operates as (i) an Autodesk Platinum partner ; (ii) a structural analysis and manufacturing software solutions publisher and reseller with Advance Design, Advance BIM Designers, Advance Workshop and Arma+ ; (iii) a service provider and R&D partner for design offices and manufacturers.

As an Autodesk Gold Reseller, Cadpoint builds, integrates and consults on all Autodesk solutions, such as Revit, AutoCAD, 3DSMax, as well as third-party solutions such as Rhinoceros and SketchUp.
Well-known today for their extensive BIM (Building Information Modeling) expertise, they help architects, owners and engineers digitize their design processes.

DDA & Company advises Graitec in a new external growth transaction, with the acquisition of Redcage (Canada)
This transaction enables the group to take a significant position in BIM software solution in Ontario.
The acquisiton of Redcage is the 18th transaction advised by DDA & Company on behalf of Graitec, and the 2nd external growth transaction since Apax Partners entered into its capital in early 2020.
The acquisition of Redcage, one of the major independent Autodesk VARs in Canada, allows Graitec to settle in Ontario, where the software publisher was not yet established, and strengthen the Group’s North American network (United States, Quebec) where it operates as (i) an Autodesk partner ; (ii) a publisher and reseller of structural analysis, manufacturing and document management software solutions with Advance Design, Advance BIM Designers, Advance Workshop, Arma+ and Opentree ; (iii) a service provider and R&D partner for design offices and manufacturers.

Founded in 2013, and located in Mississauga (Toronto, Canada), Redcage is a value-added distributor of BIM solutions dedicated to AEC (Architecture, Engineering & Construction) and MFG (Manufacturing).
As a BIM integrator, Redcage offers a wide range of software solutions, mainly from Autodesk, as well as associated services: technical support, consulting and training.
Headed by Gino Barone and Kevin Degabriele, Redcage employs nearly 15 people in Ontario.

This transaction enables the Group to consolidate its software solution portfolio.
Operating in nearly 50 offices across 13 countries, and backed by Apax Partners since early 2020, Graitec pursues its targeted acquisitions strategy by strengthening its portfolio of proprietary software products, particularly in structure calculations.
The acquisiton of Arktec is the 19th transaction advised by DDA & Company on behalf of Graitec, and the 3rd external growth transaction since Apax Partners entered into its capital in early 2020.
The acquisition of Arktec, a structural calculation software publisher, enables Graitec to (i) strengthen its presence in the Iberian Peninsula, where it had already established itself with the acquisition of 2ACAD (already advised by DDA) ; (ii) consolidate its structural calculation software offering and adapt it to Iberian and South American standards ; (iii) gain access to its first commercial platform in South America.
