Paris, December 15th, 2022,
Trusteam Finance, an independent French asset management company, announces the signing of a memorandum of understanding for the acquisition of Gaspal Gestion.
This strategic acquisition will allow Trusteam Finance, an asset management company and a proponent of authentic SRI, to exceed one billion euros in assets under management. It has ambitious growth plans, aiming to surpass two billion euros in assets under management by 2025 and to have four funds with over 100 million euros in assets by 2023.
The two asset management firms will combine their expertise through a range of funds (fixed-income, mixed, and equity) while benefiting from the complementary nature of their respective clients.
Jean-Sébastien Beslay, President of Trusteam Finance, states: “We are delighted to welcome the teams from Gaspal Gestion. Their bond expertise and investment process for company dividend strategies are significant assets for Trusteam’s future growth. Increasing the size of our assets under management and expanding our range of funds will enable us to reach a new level, open up new development prospects while continuing to focus on our driving force: customer satisfaction.”
Christian Ginolhac, CEO of Gaspal Gestion, adds: “I am very pleased with this merger, which will continue the tradition of quality, rigorous, and high-performing management for our institutional and private clients that we have established since the creation of Gaspal Gestion. Our clients and team will be strengthened by this merger, which will offer them a greater diversity of investment solutions and expertise, particularly in SRI.”
Didier Choix, Partner at DDA & Company, concludes: “At the end of a quite competitive process, it was the complementarity of the product offerings, client bases, and especially the teams, along with a shared vision for the future of the asset management profession, that tipped the scales in favor of Trusteam.”
The completion of this acquisition is expected to occur during the first quarter of 2023 and is subject to the approval of supervisory authorities.
The DDA & Company team, consisting of Didier Choix, Victor Humberdot, and Benjamin Guedj, advised Gaspal Gestion on this divestiture. This transaction once again demonstrates DDA & Company’s expertise in the financial services sector. As a reminder, DDA & Company had previously advised on the sale of Essling Capital in April 2021.
