EPC Solaire, a designer, manufacturer and installer of photovoltaic panel mounting solutions for flat roofs and parking lot shades, is joining the Face Group, one of the French leaders in building envelopes. This is Face’s first external growth operation since its acquisition by Hivest Capital Partners in July 2021. This strategic acquisition will enable Face to incorporate a leading player in the photovoltaic sector in France and thus meet the new needs of its customers driven by the environmental transition.
Founded in 2010 by its two current directors, EPC Solaire has a recognised position in the market of integration systems for photovoltaic panels thanks to the development of innovative patented products under technical approval (under the iNovaPV and iNovaPark brands). The Lyon-based company has also developed a turnkey photovoltaic power plant construction activity based on their proprietary products.
Face and EPC Solaire addressing the same type of buildings and Face already using EPC Solaire’s systems, their merger is natural and will enable them to benefit from significant synergies. It will enable them to offer a complete range of photovoltaic services to all their customers and to develop new markets by combining the know-how of both entities.
This operation allows the exit of Garibaldi Participations, which joined the company as a minority shareholder in 2019, and Gérard Chaleyssin, co-founder of EPC Solaire. Jean-Paul Bousquet, also a co-founder of the company, will continue to manage EPC Solaire and will be responsible for the development of the photovoltaic business within the Face Group.
DDA & Company had been involved in the OBO operation led by two directors with Garibaldi Participations in the summer of 2019. With the renewed confidence of EPL Solaire’s shareholders, DDA Company completes his third operation in 2022, after advising Steliau Technology on the acquisition of the Spanish company Media Microcomputer and Graitec on the acquisition of Applied Software in the United States.
DDA & Company’s team, made up of Alexandre Odin, Anthony Wimbush and Charles-Antoine Cayez, advised EPC Solaire shareholder in this operation.
