Septodont announces the finalization of the acquisition of a controlling stake in Inibsa, alongside Acteon as a strong partner and non-controlling shareholder.
Septodont and Inibsa are focused on the needs of dental professionals and their patients. As two key companies in the dental health industry, they share the ambition to provide high quality products and solutions to customers worldwide. Acteon has developed a strong supply relationship with Inibsa. Acteon’s minority investment in Inibsa aims at developing further the existing partnership between the two companies.
Inibsa has more than 75 years of experience providing products and services to healthcare professionals with an increasing focus on the dental industry. With a presence in more than 60 countries, this transaction represents a unique opportunity for the company to develop its sales in dental products worldwide.
“We are excited to support Inibsa’s development through this investment. The acquisition of Inibsa is an important one for us that will provide compelling value creation and accelerated growth opportunities given the complementary nature of our assets and teams”, declared Olivier Schiller, CEO of Septodont. “It will also enhance our own development in dental products and help us further strengthen our geographical footprint”.
“We are thrilled to invest in Inibsa alongside Septodont. It will give Acteon the opportunity to strengthen its manufacturing position in the area of dental pharmaceutical products in Europe and Asia”, added Markus Boehringer, CEO of Acteon. “Our shareholders were very supportive of this acquisition, which is the perfect complement of our current strategy, focusing on effective innovation, enhancing our customer service and strengthening operational capabilities.”
“This is a significant step forward for our company and those we serve. Since our founding in 1948, more than 75 years ago, Inibsa has been growing continuously. While we are proud of the company that we have built, we are also excited about our future with our new shareholders”, declared Eduard Lopez, General Manager of Inibsa. “In Septodont and Acteon, we have strong partners who are committed to strengthening and growing our business.”
Albert Llorens, Partner at Ineo Corporate, and Anthony Wimbush, Director at DDA & Company, concluded “It has been a pleasure to accompany Septodont in this very significant acquisition. We are also delighted to demonstrate again the force of our international network, AICA. Combining our local cultural know-how and proximity with family-owned businesses, Ineo Corporate and DDA were able to bring together two privately-owned sector leaders from neighboring countries in the context of a hard-fought sale process. Independence, agility and willingness to cooperate are key success factors in the current market environment.”
